Decided last Thursday, January 7th, that it was time to take advantage of my somewhat flexible work schedule and the rare sunny winter morning in the PNW. Out at the Skyline Lake Train, I basically had the place to myself, besides a few groups out snowshoeing, and with a fresh, stable, 8" layer snow from the previous few days, it was simply perfect conditions. Not much more to say than it was an absolutely all-time morning. Sights from the skin track give you a glimpse of what it was like, but you really had to be there to absorb the full beauty of the morning.
